Southern Oak Band

Born from the same land and cultural pocket that has produced such greats as Townes Van Zandt, Stevie

Ray Vaughn and Leon Bridges, the Southern Oak Band is a prime example of what the past greats have

inspired in today’s newcomers. With a mix of Rock, Blues and Gospel infused with homegrown Texas

Country they have found, what they believe to be, the next evolutionary step in real, honest noise.

Michael Henry takes on front man duties with an edgy soulfulness to his voice and a hint of Southern

Blues in his fingers. A combo that is sure to entertain.

John Christen accepted the challenge of playing rhythm guitar for a multi-genre band, and brings a touch of that late 70’s rock-and-roll grit to a new breed of Red Dirt music.

Alexis Randolph lends rhythmic credibility to a project with tons of moving parts. Her vast teaching and multiple project experience fit like a puzzle piece providing a true and steady heartbeat for the band.
